Compared to other media blasting methods, dry ice blasting does not create secondary waste or chemical residues as dry ice sublimates, or converts back to a gaseous state, when it hits the surface that is being cleaned thus making it perfect choice for historic preservation and restoration projects.

Due to the nonabrasive nature of dry ice and the absence of secondary waste from the cleaning process, dry ice blasting is highly recommended in conservation and historical preservation projects.
